While the SteamCMD can download mods, it won't do anything larger than 1gb before timing out. However, I can't figure out how to download and install the mods. 2nd pc doesn't have a very large ssd, but should be plenty for the server and the mods. I am assuming this is a universal option that should work for everyone, hopefully it gets rid of any issues you’ve had with the new 2k Launcher. However the dedicated server would be on my secondary computer. So it should then look like this – “D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Sid Meier’s Civilization VI\Base\Binaries\Win64Steam\CivilizationVI_DX12.exe” %command%Ĭlick Ok and launch the game, it should skip the 2k launcher all together and just go straight into the game fixing any issues i had with the launcher in the process. Step 5 – Take your file path and paste here like this “-filepath-” adding %command% on the end. Step 4 – Go to your steam library and open your launch options for CIV. For me this was as follows – D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Sid Meier’s Civilization VI\Base\Binaries\Win64Steam\CivilizationVI_DX12.exe Step 3 – Get the file path through to the application and copy it. Depending on whether you use DX12 or not make sure you know which one you want to launch with.
Step 2 – From there go into – Sid Meier’s Civilization VI\Base\Binaries\Win64Steam.
Step 1 – Locate where your game application is installed, for me this was under the standard steamapps – common – CIV. I’ve seen a lot of reviews / comments about people not being able to launch the game or only launch it with certain DLCs or Mods, this is just an ‘easy’ fix that worked for me to just skip the launcher all together, Hope it helps!
